Food Engineering

Dr. Michael Mayokun ODEWOLE is a Reader (Associate Professor), a former Head of the Department of Food Engineering, and currently the Sub-Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria.  He holds Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. degrees in Agricultural Engineering (Food/Crop Processing and Storage Engineering). His core research interests are: thermal and non-thermal food processing technology; and development, empirical modelling and optimization of food processing and storage systems. He has contributed significantly to knowledge advancement with over seventy (70) articles published in his areas of research.  He has co-patented two (2) research works, and he is serving as reviewer to many reputable publication outlets. He is a recipient of the prestigious Netherlands Fellowship Programme and has presented scholarly research papers at learned conferences in Japan, Greece and Nigeria. He has successfully supervised over 70 undergraduates and some postgraduate students.  He is a registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and member of a couple of national and international professional associations.
